Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm Ashley, a lover of photography, reality TV, chihuaha's, and fancy iced coffee. I'm a wife to my wonderful husband Jordan and a mommy to my beautiful little girl Sophia...and we can't forget my little furbaby Lola. I was always "that girl with a camera" and I think anyone who knows me can vouch that I've pretty much grown up with a camera in my face. I fell in love with taking photos and I've been so blessed to be able to actually call this my job!

I am a natural light photographer in the Dayton, Ohio area. Thank you for stopping by!

My own little update

It's about time I blog about this! You may have noticed the lack of new entries within the last couple of weeks, well that's because I'm on maternity leave :) Jordan and I are expecting a little girl (we're naming her Sophia Reese) due August 17th...so anyday now! We are beyond thrilled and can't wait for Miss Sophia to finally make her debut!

While we were in Chicago back in June shooting Dannie & Shane's wedding reception, the fabulous Morgan Crane offered to take some maternity photos for us. We LOVED the outcome! If you live in the Chicago area and are in need of a photographer, she's the go-to-woman! You can check out her website and blog at: www.morgancranephotography.com

We loved all of the photos she took, but these are our absolute favorites...can't wait to frame them! Enjoy!

Quick Note :: 2010 Brides

I just wanted to make a quick post because I'm already getting inquiries and booking up for 2010. Generally, you should book your photographer (not to mention your venue and other vendors) a year in advance just to be sure you secure your wedding date...of course that isn't required :) I even have 2009 dates available, but I know that isn't the case for everyone. Not only that, but prices are subject to change at any time...So, if you haven't put down your deposit there is a chance that my pricing may have already changed or could in the future. So you might want to think about getting that contract and deposit handled ASAP!

Remember, all that is required to book your wedding date on my calendar is your deposit (which is credited toward your remaining balance) and a signed contract - that's it! Although I prefer to meet and go over the contract in person, it isn't required and can be handled via e-mail or good old snail mail. So if you want to book with me, just shoot me an e-mail or give me a call and we'll get the ball rolling. We'll get to meet and get to know each other better at your engagement session and your pre-event consultation.

Unfortunately, I cannot hold dates for everyone...so I truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you so much! Please feel free to ask any questions!

Alisha + Sean

I'm a bit behind on my blogging, as usual these days :)

Alisha & Sean are having a fall wedding this coming October, I love fall weddings! We had great weather for this shoot and it was especially fun for Jordan and I because we went to a few of the same spots where we had our very own engagement photos taken (by the awesome Michelle Nixon). Here are a few from the shoot:

Natalie + David :: Married!

Natalie & David were married on the 4th of July at The Patterson Homestead and it was gorgeous! Everything was so elegant and beautiful. Natalie has the most amazing smile, as you can see! Here are a couple of my favorites from the day...hope you two are having a wonderful time in the Dominican Republic!

nicki + steve :: married!

I don't believe I've worked with a couple so obviously and completely in love before...these two are adorable! Nicki & Steve met and fell in love in the UK and were married in Abu Dhabi last September. Nicki asked me to photograph their "American" reception and she wanted to go a bit untraditional with the photos and use lots of props! We had a great time goofing off blowing bubbles, licking lollipops and wearing sily glasses and mustaches. I had a hard time choosing which photos I wanted to share from this day, so it's a long post :) Enjoy!
